The First Amendment is the first amendment to ever be added to the United States Constitution. It is a part of the body of work that is now known as the Bill of Rights. The 1st Amendment has been followed by the United States of America since it was first created. The First Amendment was designed in order to see to it that the people pf the nation are always going to be entitled to the freedoms that they need. The 1st Amendment is largely responsible for making sure that there is national order in this country. By giving people the freedoms that they need in the First Amendment, this makes it easier for the nation to avoid potential major conflict to be developed internally. In the 1st Amendment, you are introduced for the first time on this level to the Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of the Press, the Freedom to Assemble, and the Freedom to Petition. These First Amendment Rights are the foundation to which are nation is based upon. Without the 1st Amendment, many would be afraid to witness the state of the country. This is why we find ourselves celebrating our thankfulness for the United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and last but not least, the First Amendment.
1. By the 1st Amendment being the first amendment of the United States Constitution, it is only the start of the amendments that have been initiated out of the very first draft of the United States Constitution. The 1st Amendment laid the groundwork for what type of fundamental values need to be put in writing, then executed by the United States legal system. The 1st Amendment will always remain to have this double fold importance in the United States of America.
2. The 1st Amendment was also the first amendment to incorporate the relationship as it should be played between the people and the government. The 1st Amendment was the first to set the groundwork by doing so effectively. It was able to really illustrate how it is that the two entities relate. It also lends to the way that the two will still be able to execute their powers, and live together with each other in society. Many look to this amendment in order to define these relationships. For that, and many other reasons, both the people as well as the government will be thankful for the creation and execution of the very first amendment.
